The Sweet Shop to FINALLY Premiere at LIFF

The lineup for the London International Film Festival has been announced and we have some VERY exciting news!  The Sweet Shop, which Matthew filmed way back in 2010 will be premiering on April 12th!!!  The fans have been waiting for this for a long time, so I’m sure you all will be happy. The price to see the film is £2, purchase tickets here.

The film follows the story of a rock star (Seb Hurtado) that returns to the village where he grew up when his estranged Mother dies. He finds many of his childhood friends – including local Sweet Shop owner Katie Powell (Gemma Atkinson) – have never left.

  1. YAY! It’s about time it gets released. I’m also hoping once ‘Wasteland’ gets off the festival circuit, it will go into wider release (even if just available to rent online).
