Here are TONS of questions Matt Lewis answered on his old official site before it closed. This means that many of these answers will be out of date as that site was online many years ago. I left it how he replied, so some of it is hard to read, ha ha.

What is your middle name? David

Do you have a nickname? yea i guess. most people call me matt or matty. not many people besides my family call me matthew.

When people write you and your busy do you write them back after? I do write back to people but it gets difficult and people can wait for a very long time for a reply but hopefully unless there is a postage error they usually get one.

Have any of your fans ever proposed to you? yh haha, it was written down on a piece of paper and i wrote yes and then signed it, hope it isnt legally binding…

How many fans do you think you have? I have no idea whatsoever. Err well judging by the popularity of this site I would say a few hundred

Is there something your fans would be surprised to learn about you? people are pretty surprised when i say i love boxing and i aint ricky hatton but i like sparring with my mates

Do you ever wear any disguises when out and about in town? i sometimes wear a hat and sunglasses but thats when i look rough from night before or cant be bothered gettin in the shower and doing my hair before i go somewhere

Do most of these people’s questions make you laugh out loud? a few of them do yh, its funny to think why people wanna kno what breakfast i eat

Are you right handed or left handed? LEFT handed!!

Which hand is more dominant than the other;left or the right? depends what im doing – i write, shoot, play snooker/pool, tennis, darts, badminton and baseball left handed but i box orthodox and play golf and guitar right handed – crickets weird coz i bowl left handed but bat right handed

When you have spare time what do you like to do? Play football, watch movies, play computer games. Or I go watch the football/rugby.

When you do movies do you ever get home sick? yh all the time but its alright what with the wonders of the internet!!

If you had to guess, how many times do you look in the mirror? too many times to count. i look in car windows, shop windows, peoples glasses, anything i can see a reflection in, im pretty vain

If you had a daughter what would you name her? And if you had a son what would you name him? Sarah Trouble Lewis and Max Danger Lewis so they could say stuff like “HA, Danger’s my middle name”

Do you think you will go to university? If yes, do you think you will have a gap year? yea i do wanna go but i don’t know what i’d study yet. definitely take a gap year

Do you party alot or are you more of movie premiere then go home and get sleep kind of guy? i like to party…

What do you look for in someone (looks, personality, etc.)? im pretty shallow, looks first then personality BUT if they are dull or have a crap personality i dont hang around long

What’s the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? lol.. erm, defo the eyes

What qualities do you find make a good friend? someone who has a great sense of humour and can take a joke but knows when its time to get serious

Have you ever seen your brother Anthony’s band, The Good Die Young, play live? yea, i saw them at Joseph’s Well which i don’t know where is. They were well good, rele reminded of Kasabian

What does your brother Anthony act in? he was in Emmerdale which is an English soap opera for 3 years and he returned for 2 episodes recently for a funeral. He’s set to appear in Torchwood (the Doctor Who spinoff) next year!

Have you ever won something that you always gonna remember? i won a winners medal at Hinsley Hall football tournament in 1999 i think it was. It was for school and we got to the final where we drew but they wouldn’t let us play penalties so we had to share to plaudits with the other team

Who would be your ideal role to play in a film? James Bond or Batman would be a right laugh!

What’s the toughest part about filming a movie? not getting on set. I absolutely love filming so much and when we don’t get round to a shot and im just tutoring or even if im sat around doing nothing i hate not being able to work on set

If you’d have to fight in a movie, which weapon would you prefer: a gun, sword, bow & arrow or your body? thats a good question, gun fights are cool but “not as clumsy or as random” as a sword which if u could master would look sweet but then again riding in on a horse firing a bow and arrow robin hood style would also be quality but i cant help thinking Brad Pitt in Snatch and probly say my body

Have you ever done anything that you’re not supposed to? er yh…

What’s your favourite saying? its not rele a saying, its a quote from a song but i think about it a lot: “I’m free to be whatever I Whatever I choose And I’ll sing the blues if I want I’m free to say whatever I Whatever I like If it’s wrong or right it’s alright”

What religion are you? Christian by upbringing but I’m an Atheist

Do you drink coffee? yuk nooope

What is your shoe size? 9

Do you drink beer? erm possibly…

What kind of toothpaste do you use? erm, Aquafresh but on recommendation from a friend of mine i think im gonna move onto Beverley Hills White (or something like that)

What kind of cologne do you use? georgio armani

What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use? Avon, 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner (it’s the green one)

Harry Potter

Do you think Neville will play a major role in defeating Voldemort at the end of the series? That’s a good question. I have no idea. I think that the way the story would suggest at the moment it is definitely a possibility but can you really see a person like Neville taking on the human form of evil? I dunno maybe but as with all the books it is pretty unpredictable.

Which movie did you like best and what was your favorite part while filming GOF? I think the 3rd one was the best of the 3 so far. As for GoF I’m afraid I can’t tell you my favourite bit because I’m sworn to secrecy over anything in the film. Ask me again after it has come out.

Is it fun filming the Harry Potter movies? It is extremely fun – we all have a right laugh!

You’ll be playing a major part later in the 5th movie. Are you excited or anxious about it, and why? both excited and anxious tbh. i mean like im confidant ive done ok and david yeates helped me loads but i just want it to be right so bad for all the fans that are waiting for it :s

Do you hang out with Dan, Rupert or Emma when you’re not filming or on set, aka your free time? A little, Dan and Rupert live in London and Emma in Oxford so its difficult but I went to see Velvet Revolver with Rupert and Louis Doyle’s (Ernie Macmillan) band The Cadets with Emma. And its also Emma’s birthday next month so im off to her party which sounds wicked

Have you read the books? Yeah, I have read all 5 and awaiting number 6!

How is Alan Rickman in person? funny guy, i rele enjoy working with him – we were chatting about scrambled eggs in the microwave last year, i dont kno why :S

What’s your favourite HP movie? Prisoner of Azkaban

What do you think about Daniel Radcliffe’s performance in Equus?Will you do something similar? i thought he was quality. i thoroughly enjoyed the play and both dan and richard griffiths were incredible. i love the theatre and would rele enjoy doing something in that area.

Do you think your character would be alive at the end of the last book/movie (Deathly Hallows)? i rele dont kno, i havent predicted much coz i just wanna read it, i reckon he’ll live

Do You like Evanna Lynch? yh yh shes really great, very sweet and a lovely person to work with

How well do you get along with Daniel Radcliffe? really well. Dan is so so funny and we are always introducing each other to new comedies and talk about music. We like very similar stuff when it comes to films, tv and music.

Who do you think was the most entertaining actor on the set of GOF? brendan gleeson was quality

Are you looking forward to act in the scenes in the department of mysteries in the 5th film? can’t wait, its gonna be wicked!! Not seen any of the sets yet but apparently they are gonna be immense

Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you were never in the Harry Potter films? I try not to. The friends i’ve made and the experiences i’ve had because of it are just too amazing to even consider not having them.

What do you think of the non-padding for the 3rd movie? ooooh no, there was padding alright

Can we PLEASE see that documentary that you made about what you guys do off screen?? right well, its kinda been edited down and snipped about and its no longer a documentary. However, if you watch ‘Reflecting on the Fourth Film’ on the GoF DVD some of the video stuff in dressings rooms is by me 🙂

Music

If you were given the chance to listen to one more song and watch one more movie, what would they be? Stand By Me – Oasis and Crash I think but thats a hard question. I’ll change my mind as soon as I’m done here.

What’s you favorite song from Greenday? Basket Case is a classic but they have made so many good songs. I like Good Riddance (Time of you Life) and Give Me Novacaine. Redundant is really good too.

If you could be in any rock-band, what would it be, and why? Oasis, just because their music is incredible and they may not be the nicest guys in the world there is no denying they’re amazingly talent and to be able to witness it as a member of THE band would be quality

What’s your favorite Guns n Roses song? Civil War

What is your favorite song by The Killers? Glamourous Indie Rock & Roll or All These Thing That I’ve Done

What is your favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song? Scar Tissue

My favourite band is O.A.S.I.S., whats yours? O-A-S-I-S!! woooohooo

Is there any female singers you like? yh yh, dont kno how good she is at singing coz ive neva heard her but i saw her when i was watching the boxing the otha nite, Oscar De La Hoya’s wife – Millie, she was fit

Do you play any musical instruments? i can play the piano just not well, its not like i had proper lessons or anything i just translate the music into notes then play it but its takes loadsa practice my way and i probably should properly learn

Have you ever seen Green Day live? yup @ Milton Keynes bowl last year, was fantastic

I’ve read rumors via the internet that you like the band Dashboard Confessional. Any truth to them? fraid not, i kno em but ive never heard any of their stuff

If you could see a band dead or alive who would it be and why? The Beatles. Not only would it be quality but I could then say ‘yup, i saw the Beatles live – where were you!?’

Can you sing? i can sing, i sing all the time but it sounds horrible

Do you listen to Indie rock? yh boy

What’s your favorite song right now and why? Don’t Go Away by Oasis – it’s very under-rated and the album it’s on is often considered poor by their standards, I couldn’t disagree more (answered in May 2006)

Do you like the bands Fall Out Boy, Keane, Panic! at the Disco, or the All- American Rejects? fall-out boy noooo, keane yh i kinda like them, only got first album tho, panic at the disco meh and all american rejects i saw a v festival bk in 04 wasnt a fan at all.

What is your favorite type/model of airplane? i fink Concorde is probly one of the greatest inventions that man has come up with but i kinda like the F22 Raptor coz it looks mean

What’s your favourite car? ooh good question – i dont have one car i prefer more than any but one of the following: Aston Martin DB5, Shelby Mustang GT, Porsche 911, Ferrari Maranello or Lambourghini Murcieliago(?) – any of those would be sweet

What are your favorite type of dogs? german shepherd

What is your favourite food? Pepperoni Pizza or Nando’s Chicken

Do you like animals? some animals, not too fond of cats or baboons

Who is your favorite Leeds United player? David Healy. Did you see that goal he scored against England!?

Who’s your favourite soccer player outside of Leeds United and why? erm, probably Thierry Henry. I think his talent is just endless.

What’s your favorite holiday? like holiday period?? christmas? if you mean like holiday abroad id say new york or new zealand. NY is just the best place in the world afta Leeds and in NZ i jumped off the sky tower in Auckland and that was quality

What’s your favorite deodorant/cologne? Right Guard, i dunno which smell tho its the green one or the blue one. Favourite cologne is either ArmaniCode or Ralph Lauren Polo Blue

What’s your favorite city? LEEDS!!

What is your favorite color? ooh i dunno, blue, pink, if i had a ferrari it would be red if that helps but i have a soft spot for green coz its my eye colour.

If you could have any person — living or dead — bake you a cake, who would it be? Well Richard Harris (according to the song) had baked a cake that was pretty good and then someone left it out in the rain. I think though if anyone in the entire world dead or alive could bake me a cake it would have to be Michael J. Fox or Sylvester Stallone.

What’s your favourite day of the week and why? TODAY!! FRIDAY!!! coz its the end of the working week (although i love filming, gotta love the weekend havent you) and this one especially coz ive broken up from school.

If you had to choose between converse and adidas, what would you chose? I have 4 pairs of shoes 2 pairs of Converse (Red & Blue) 1 pair of Adidas trainers 1 pair of Adidas Predator football boots How can I possibly choose between my 2 favourite makes of shoes!!?

Have you ever played with dolls? I used to play with Action Man when I was really young but that was it.

I heard you like to play Call of Duty. What’s your favorite mission? yh Call of Duty i loved the Russian first mission when u have the rounds of ammo and u gotta storm up that hill with all the shelling going on and on Call of Duty 2 my favourite was the D-Day landing at Point Du Hoc

Do you know sign language? I used to. I learnt it @ school in RE and i had to say my name in front of the class. that was tough unfortunately ive forgotten most of it but its an incredible thing!

What’s your favorite period in history and why favourite period in history waaaaas Ancient Greece coz they just took time out to just think and thats quality – if more of us did that then i think society would benefit a great deal

If superman and batman got into a fight, who do you think would win? superman would win because batman is just a guy in a suit but i’d be rooting for batman because he well cooler and superman would have to have committed a pretty bad crime to have batman after him

Do you like dragons? yea dragons a cool, even komodo dragons, those guys are nasty pieces of work but look wicked

What label would you say you were, e.g. skater, goth, surfer…e.c.t. xoxo non of the above. i like to unpredictable. you can never tell with me what im gonna wear from one day to the next. ill wake up and put on whatever i think will look cool for that particular day.

Do you like to shop, and if so, where do you like to shop? love shopping with mates or whatever but hate shopping with parents. theres loadsa places: Topman, French Connection, River Island, Freespirit, Envy, etc. Mainly all the shops on Brigate in Leeds

Do you watch formula one races? Who is yours favourite formula one driver? i dont watch formula one because i personally dont see the attraction after the first lap but my brother-in-law loves F1 and superbikes so its on in our house sometimes. im one of those guys that if brits are doing well im all for it – Lewis Hamilton, woop woop

Do you like volleyball? i dont mind watching womens volleyball and its always good when its on Baywatch but im not a great player of the game.

Do you wear socks with sandals? eww no, i used to have a teacher who did that, he was actually one of best teachers ever but that faux pas was a hot topic of conversation in lessons

Will you give ever give blood? i had a blood test recently and i rele dint like having that needle actually in my vein and it was only there for a bit, letting someone leave it there and take a pint out i’m not rele looking forward to but i feel its my duty so im gonna go in month when im 17

Do you like any flash animations on the internet? that badger one always makes me laugh

Do you sing in the shower? rather badly but yes…

Do you like ninjas? like the super cool, sword weilding, mysterious guys that can sometimes be turtles then absolutely!!

Would you rather be forced scream for one solid hour or eat a whole box of dog bisquits in 10 minutes? hmm, well probably the dog biscuits coz i don’t think i can hold my breath long enough for the scream and if i could it would just get boring and i bet dog biscuits taste pretty good anyway

What is your favorite movie? Tough question. It’s a close race and its between: Interview With The Vampire, Top Gun, The Shawshank Redemption, Falling Down, Scarface

Is it ture that you have a thang for Sarah Michelle Gellar? lol. how’d you know that!? yea kinda, also kate beckinsale too. lol

Who is your favorite actor/actress?? These questions just get harder and harder… Errr, I think… Actor: Antonio Banderas, Michael J. Fox, or Al Pacino Actress: Elisha Cuthbert, Rachel Weisz, or Nicole Kidman

Do you like Lord of the Rings? yhh its quality – looved fellowship of the ring, the otha 2 were ok but my favourite is defo the first

Do you like Kung Fu movies? hahah i used to love jackie chan movies. mr. nice guy, rush hour, who am i? and all those were quality. enter the dragon is pretty awesome too, bruce lee movies are sweet lol

Have you seen any of the American Pie movies? If so, did you like any of them? yh hahah, first three are quality, not seen the othas – american pie 2 is my favourite just for stiflers lines.

What is your favorite new movie what constitutes as new?? i reckon…The Prestige, that was quality(answered May 2006)

What was your favourite Disney movie as a kid? Lion King – still is

Do you like Narnia (books or movie)?? I haven’t read the books tho my big bro keeps telling me too. I saw the film and thought it was pretty good it just was a bit too disney for me. I expected Lord of the Rings style hack and slash fighting but it was still quite good.

Do you like horror movies? If so, then which are your favourites? yh i looove em. not a fan of hardcore horror films like The Exorcist and The Omen and stuff coz they just dont scare me. films like Blair Witch Project that proper mess with ur head or 28 Days Later or Dawn of the Dead – that idea of waking up to a messed up world is terrifying and i love it.

Have you ever seen the movies The Breakfast Club or Donnie Darko? ive seen them both and i loved them both. I have Donnie Darko on dvd and i almost bought The Breakfast Club the otha day

What were some of the latest films you saw in theatres? i saw shooter with mark wahlberg – i kinda liked it. hopefully off to see 28 weeks later 2nite, doubt itll be as good as first one coz cillian murphy and danny boyle are awesome but it sounds alright (answered in April 2006)

What actor do you think makes you laugh most and why? thats another tough one. probably either Jim Carrey because i love Dumb & Dumber so much or maybe Steve Coogan because i’ve been a massive Alan Partridge fan for as long as i can remember

What is it like to visit all sorts of different countries? indescribable – is that spelt right?? i love it so much to see all this stuff at such a young has to be the best bit about being in the films

What is your favorite state in the U.S? New York

Do you watch American football? lol no because after all as steve coogan put it “its just futuristic rugby”

What do you think about America? its wicked. I really love it and go out there as much as i can. New York is one of my favourite places to visit.

I was wondering do you think Americans have a cool accent or do you think they just sound weird? ive been looking at this in english language – i dont think its weird but as to whether its cool depends on wahts being sed “Welcome to the party, pal” said by Bruce Willis sounds waaaay cooler said by a Yank but “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off” sounds pretty rubbish in owt but English

What is your favorite musical? ive only really seen one and thats Chicago which I thought was amazing. Rele loved that. but my mums favourite is Phantom of the Opera so i grew up listening to the music from that which is good too

What are your favorite TV shows? errr, The Simpsons is very good and 24, also Buffy and i have been watching this one show on the the internet which owns. It’s called www.purepwnage.com if you like computer games and stuff it is very funny.

What’s your favorite magazines,and why? Empire because im rele into my films and love seeing whats coming out soon at cinema or on DVD and always enjoy reading the reviews and interviews

Who is your favorite stand-up comedian? Eddie Murphy or Lee Evans

Do you have any drawing talent? i can draw batman, stan smith from american dad and tails from sonic, thats bout it tho i did draw a cool special forces guy in theology 2day but my teacher took it off me 🙁

What do you think about the Hollywood system? erm its ok i guess, im not quite at that level yet lol. i dont think many people enjoy the idea of paparazzi following you everywhere but that comes with the territory if you get to that level. i like the idea that actors in hollywood can have influence on the world as oppose to just politicians, just a shame that many of the actors that have this influence arent too bright.

What’s your fav Cirque Du Freak book/ character and why? Tunnels of Blood and Murlough because he is so damn cool.

Are you into any other fantasy series? yea, HIS DARK MATERIALS trilogy. i dint like it the first time i tried reading it but only got thru the first chapter. then Alfie and Emma ganged up on me and i started reading again and i cant thank them enough. I absolutely love it.

Do you like Buffy the Vampire Slayer? yh im supposed to be a closet fan but i dont mind saying it, i got em all on DVD

Who is your favourite Simpsons character? oh man, mr. burns i think is just hilarious. him and smithers just make me crease all the time.

Do you watch MTV? What shows do you like on MTV? Cribs and Sweet Sixteen

If you could have dinner with one celebrity or band who would it be? only one!?! erm noel gallagher

Which kind of car do you think should be given up, cars steered on the right or left? cars with it on the left obviously…

If you could meet any person in the world, dead or alive, who would you chose and why? Jesus Christ – to see what all the fuss was about

What do you think of the Manchester United “football” team? Scum…?

If you could go on holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? New York coz i love bustling cities that you can walk about and mind ur own business with ur ipod on and just be in ur own world

If you could speak any language, what would it be? French or Brazilian Portuguese. Loadsa people speak French and it just sounds cool also Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas) speaks fluent Portuguese so he taught me some stuff and that sounds cool too

Have you ever done any type of extreme sport? i did base-jumping by wire once and a bit of snowboarding. loved them both. i’m quite an adrenaline junkie, love rollar coasters and heights, i don’t do enought crazy stuff tho

If you could have five minutes to hang out with a person of your choice, who would it be? errrm probably david hume, he was incredible. so intelligent and shared many of my beliefs on ethics and philosophy. tho i doubt 5 minutes would be enough to rele pick his brains.
