The Sweet ShopRockstar Jarvis Marshall returns to his empty family home after the death of his estranged mother, ten years after he left to avoid his violent father. Jarvis is alone, despite the presence of Simone, his beautiful German supermodel girlfriend, despite his money and his fame. And he has a musical to score! Facing his fears and his guilt, he relies on his re-born friendship with Katie, a childhood friend who runs her grandfather’s sweet shop. Although a village fixture, Katie is every bit as alone as Jarvis. Her best friend Mikey lives in hope of her reciprocating his feelings for her, and feels threatened by Jarvis. The Sweet Shop is a simple story of human frailty and love, with some great songs.
