The Syndicate Going Strong
The second episode of Matthew Lewis’ five part mini series, The Syndicate, garnered 5.4 million viewers when it aired last week. That’s up 200,000 from the first episode. It was the most popular show in the UK on the 3rd of April which is very exciting for the cast and creators! The show had 23.1% share of the TV audience between 9pm and 10pm!
I was able to catch the first episode of the show when I was in London last week and Matthew was amazing. This role is far different from anything we’ve seen him do and I applaud him for that. Matthew’s character will be most heavily featured in the fifth and final episode of the show, so be sure to keep watching!
The Syndicate Reviews
A lovely reader was kind enough to send over a few reviews she found of The Syndicate (I haven’t had the chance to look since I am in London with limited access, like I said yesterday). They are as follows:
(forgive me for just copying and pasting the email, but it’s hard preparing posts on aniPad, haha…I’ll make this prettier when I’m home)

But the stand-out turn absolutely came from Matthew Lewis: who knew he had it in him?!

A fascinating and sensitively researched piece, with strong acting from each of the protagonists, the quality of the first episode hints at good things to come, but not necessarily for the members of this fated syndicate.

Matthew Lewis (AKA Neville Longbottom) takes on his first role since Harry Potter as the cheeky chappy Jamie. He’s showing a great amount of versatility in a different role and is really letting his Yorkshire accent shine! It’s great to see him on our screens and it will be really interesting to see where he takes his acting career because there is so much potential there.
The Syndicate Secures Over 5 Million Viewers
Multitude Media have just revealed via TWitter that Matthew’s new show, The Syndicate, had over five million viewers for its first episode. The Stndicate is a five part mini series about a group of employees who win the lottery togEther.
Also, as a note, I am leaving for London tonight to do press events for the opening of Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. This means I will have limited access to the Internet, so bear with me when I post news later than usual. I will be totally bsck in action on April 4th.
