The Sweet Shop Movie Trailer

MWS media have finally released a trailer for The Sweet Shop a movie that Matthew Lewis was filming back in 2010. Matt plays an unnamed reporter in the film trying to get the dirt on rock star  Jarvis, played by the late actor Seb Hurtado, when he returns to his home town. If you want to catch up you can read all the past news on The Sweet Shop here.

The film follows the story of a rock star (Seb Hurtado) that returns to the village where he grew up when his estranged Mother dies. He finds many of his childhood friends – including local Sweet Shop owner Katie Powell (Gemma Atkinson) – have never left.

With beautiful songs and touching characters, The Sweet Shop is a Romantic Drama with a twist.

It is still unknown if and when the film will be released, but I think the trailer is a good sign. The film was put on hold indefinitely when the star of the film tragically committed suicide.
