Finally it has been nominated for Excelence in Production Design for a Feature Film in 2011 under the Fantasy category at this year’s Art Directors Guild awards. Video: Neville’s Battle Makeup

A new behind the scenes video from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II has appeared online. In the video we get to see Matthew Lewis being made up as Neville for the Battle scenes at the end of the film!

Updated ’50 Greatest Harry Potter Moments’; More Neville

Back in July, ITV aired a Harry Potter special and revealed the 50 Greatest Harry Potter Moments as voted by fans. While there were no moments with Neville by himself (only the group scenes, like number 39 and 1 below) in the original list, this new list includes one of Neville’s Deathly Hallows moments! If a video appears online I will post it here. The following scenes include Neville:

42. Neville Defends Hogwarts on the Bridge – Deathly Hallows Part 2
39. Pesky Pixie’s of the Cornish Variety – Chamber of Secrets
01. The First Sight of Hogwarts – Philosopher’s Stone

Thanks Magical-Menagerie.

Vote for Matthew as ‘Hottest Budding Heartthrob”

TrésSugar has released their 11 Budding Heartthrobs We Crushed on in 2011.  They’re also asking fans to vote for their favorite of the Top 11, so get voting and let’s get Matt to number 1!!! He is currently in 1st place with 21% of the votes, but we need to keep him there.  They have this to say about Matthew:

In the final Harry Potter film that was released this year, underdog Neville Longbottom really came into his own. But we were more surprised to see the actor who plays the character, Matthew Lewis, break out as the sexiest star of the franchise. Go Neville!

Deathly Hallows in Empire’s Top 20 Movies of 2011

Empire Online has released their list of the Top 10 Movies of 2011 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II comes in at Number 4! Matthew Lewis fans will particularly enjoy the “Money Moment,” read below to see why.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2
A decade of franchise dominance ended spectacularly. Forever.

Released: July 15
Talent: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, David Yates (director)
Box office: $1.3 billion
Money moment: Neville Longbottom stands up to Voldemort and his cackling Death Eaters. “They didn’t die in vain. But you will!”
Empire line: “The effects have never been better, the sets more beautifully designed nor the explosions bigger.”
What to say: “Finite incantatem!” (Then cry uncontrollably.)

Thanks Magical-Menagerie!
