Matt Mentioned in Article

Just a fun little mention of Matt today from an article in the telegraph and argus.

2009 is set to be a monster year for some of Bradford’s brightest young actors and actresses… literally!  That’s because the district’s hot thespians are starring in some of the biggest movies and TV series featuring out-of-this-world beasties and fantastic creatures to be either released or produced over the next 12 months.  It’s a fantasy fright-fest with the third movie in the Narnia series scheduled to be shot (pending financial problems), the third series of monster mash Primeval due to air, and the latest in the Harry Potter franchise to be released, all starring local talent.

Young Horsforth actor Matthew Lewis will be reprising his role as Neville Longbottom in the sixth Harry Potter movie, the Half-Blood Prince, which is scheduled for a cinematic release in July.

Not much, but we don’t get too many mentions of Matt so I figured I would post it!

Matt has been mentioned in a new article.  Also along with the article is a new photo, click HERE!

Perhaps the most famous Scala Kid so far is Horsforth’s Matthew Lewis, 19, who has figured in and every one of the Harry Potter films, having recently finished filming in the fifth, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Former Menston St Mary’s School pupil Matthew landed the role of Neville Longbottom seven years ago.

thanks for the tip carine!

Collectormania Report and Photo

Thanks to laineys_garden, on LiveJournal, we have a report about Matt at the Collectormania 14 as well as a new photo! See the photo HERE!

He is such a great guy!  He remembered me from Manchester Gmex back in{nl}March!!!  I was amazed, he even remembered what we spoke about (football).

He told me he shaved his hair off as soon as he had OK from the potter bosses that no re-shoots were needed cause it was driving him  mad. and Tom has kept his Draco hair cause he’s kinda got used to it now :p  Matt was at toms 21st birthday party last week.
We briefly talked about HBP he said as far as he knows the push back has nothing to do with Equus and just cause they reckon they’ll make more{nl}money next year,  hes still not sen any of the footage but he’s down at{nl}the studio in a few weeks so he’s gonna try n sneak a peak at some{nl}clips.

Oooh he also said he shot some promo’s last week so hopefully they will be released soon!

Matt Mentioened in test Screening Review

Erik, from MuggleNet was lucky enough to attend a test screening of Half-Blood Prince last night. He has wrote a review with some details that you can read HERE! He mentions Matt in the review as well:

Matthew Lewis as Neville again has a small amount of screen time, but we all know how awesome his role is going to be in the next movie.

I wish they would have more Matt scenes but at least he is in it!

Matt talks HBP!

Matt Lewis spoke to a fan at the Dragon*Con and she asked him about Half-Blood Prince.

I spoke with Matthew Lewis briefly at Dragon*Con in Atlanta this past weekend, and asked him a few questions about the screenplay for HBP. He said he was very pleased with this one, he feels like it stayed extremely close to the book. Some things were cut, of course, and they added one scene in (with Rowling’s approval) that added to the pacing and gave it a more tense, desperate feel.

I told him that I was looking extremely forward to Daniel & Bonnie’s H/G scenes together and his eyes brightened and he grinned: “Oh yeah, that stuff is brilliant! With Harry and Ginny and Dean, it’s all really, really fun, and it’s going to be great to watch!” He sounded very enthusiastic about it.

Thanks for the tip SS!
