Rachel of Children in Need has sent over some new photos from the Children in Need event Matthew attended on November 18th. Matt took part in photographs with fans and helped to raise 500 pounds doing so! Great job, Matt! The organizers of the event said that Matt was very professional, extremely patient and thoroughly enjoyable to work with. Very high compliments and we wouldn’t expect anything less of such an amazing person. Matthew will definitely have a very promising career ahead of him if he keeps this up, which we know he will.
You may see the photos in the gallery, the captions note who is in the photo with Matthew. Please do not take these photos without credit back to this site and Children in Need.

Today I can post a brand new, high resolution, photo of Matthew while he was switching on the Ilkley Lights, view that in the gallery. We also have an amazing video from the event which shows Santa introducing Matthew, then Matthew making a speech and finally turning on the lights! There is also a short interview at the end, where Matt talks about The Syndicate and an unnamed film, which we can assume is Wasteland.
Thanks very much to Mark, who was invited by the organizers to film and photograph the event, for sharing his footage with us!

Today we have an exciting piece of news regarding an event Matthew Lewis will be attending tomorrow. He will be taking part in the Children in Need Annual Appeal in Pudsey. As a prominent figure from the region, Matt has been asked to participate in the various events throughout the day, such as meeting children, to help raise money for the charity.
Children in Need is an annual British charity appeal organised by the BBC. Since 1980 it has raised over £500 million. The highlight of the Children in Need appeal is an annual telethon, held in November. A teddy bear named “Pudsey Bear” fronts the campaign, while Terry Wogan is a long standing host. Children in Need is one of three high-profile British telethons, the others being Red Nose Day and Sport Relief, both supporting the Comic Relief charity. [source]
Some of the event will be televised live on BBC1, so if anyone can capture footage with Matt please send it in so I can post it!

Today I can finally post about 2 of Matthew’s upcoming projects! Sadly there is not much information to share yet, just the names.
First up is the BBC 5 Part TV MiniSeries The Syndicate. There is a bit of information on this show, which can be read in this article.
Five-part series The Syndicate, about a group of Lottery winners, was inspired by a friend who was losing her job. […] The writer is known for sharp works of social realism, such as Band of Gold, about a group of prostitutes in Bradford in the 1990s, and Fat Friends, about a slimming club. […] The Syndicate will follow six workers at a cut-price supermarket in Leeds.
Next is a film Matt is only penciled in for, but many of you have guessed at, Wasteland. Harry Potter co-stars Natalia Tena (Tonks) and possibly Timothy Spall (Pettigrew) will also be in the film which should be released in 2012. Unfortunately there is hardly any information on this film as of yet which is why I hadn’t posted yet.
Thanks very much to Multitude Media, Matt’s publicists for the information!

Today I have two fun exclusives for you all! First up is a behind the scenes shot from a photoshoot that Matthew did in London today. You can see that here in the gallery! The photos were being taken for various press needs, that will be coming up, including the announcement of some new roles for Matthew! I will hopefully be announcing the roles exclusively on the site when the time arrives.
Secondly, Matthew will be a presenter at the Radio 1 Teen Awards which are taking place this Sunday and can be watched online here from 1pm – 5pm London time. We do not know what category he will be presenting, but as soon as it is revealed I will be posting it on the site. Tom Felton will also be presenting an award at the ceremony and there is a small possibility that they could be presenting an award together, but those details will be announced soon, stay tuned!
Thanks to Multitude Media for both pieces of news!
