As I posted yesterday, Matthew Lewis and Tom Felton presented an award at yesterday’s BBC Radio 1 Teen awards. Today we have a rather poor quality video of them, if anyone has a better quality video please send it in! Also, I added a few new photos to the gallery from the appearance.

As I posted earlier in the week, Matthew was a presenter at today’s BBC Radio 1 awards. He and Tom Felton presented the award for Best British Young Sports Star to Tom Daley! Thanks to @WindyCheukyu on twitter we have a couple screenshots from the live feed and thanks to Tom Daley’s Twitter account we have a shot of Tom Felton, Matt, Rupert Grint and Tom D at the awards. See them all in the gallery!
I will hopefully be able to post a video of them presenting the award soon. If anyone was able to capture it, please send it in!
As you all know, this past weekend Matthew participated in the Walk of Smiles with a group of friends to raise money for Martin House Hospice for Children. An article about his participation is now online complete with a photo, view the photo in the gallery. You can still donate by visiting this page. They have a short interview with him which includes a tease that he is in a new film at the end of the year:
“The success of this event is a testament to how hard Bethany has worked and how hard everyone else has worked. I’m just so impressed and very privileged to be a part of it.”
Matthew did the walk after a morning training with a coach from Leeds Rhinos RL team. “I’m trying to get a bit bigger for a role at the back end of the year. It’s a film but I can’t say too much about it at the moment.”
On July 19th, Matthew Lewis attended a media preview of Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney Australia. A bunch of photos from the event are now online and may be seen in the gallery.
“I brought my own wand, some of Neville’s costumes. We’ve got the mandrakes and you can pull the mandrakes out of the pot like Neville — hopefully you won’t faint like Neville.” He also said that he prefers seeing the props that weren’t connected to his character “because I can go and see that stuff as a fan.”
Matt’s other exhibition highlights include Hagrid’s hut and “stuff that you don’t appreciate in the film: things, little details that a lot of effort has gone into, like the programs from the Quidditch World Cup, which you get to see for a second in the film.”
