As we posted back in October, Matt was one of the special guests at “Welcome to the Magic School” convention in Paris. Be Magazine interviewed Matthew while he was at the event and we have translated the questions for you below. You’re probably the actor who most changed physically since the late movie “Harry Potter”. Is because of this you are more “anonymous” when you walk for example?
Already, thank you for noticing the physical change, it makes me rather happy (laughs). But in reality, even though I really changed the fans still recognize me. Sometimes I wonder, “but good god, how they do it ??” It also may be due to the series in which I play now. In any case, even years after the first film, it’s really nice to be in contact with the fans.What do you like most about your character, Neville?
He’ really a good guy. I like how he evolved. A shy boy who becomes a bit more badass, even a hero to the end. I love this character.What would you deny a role? Do you have any limits?
If we kill someone wondering … well, it depends of the price! (laughs) I obviously joking. What I like when I accept a role is the possible evolution of the character. I like to wear it, change it, think … If I am offered the opportunity to really work well this character, I accept.You’re the star of a British series, but next, what’s your series of the moment?
I love Broadchurch, I’m really into it.
