Matthew Lewis Talks Harry Potter

In an interview with Fandango, Matthew Lewis dicusses Neville’s role in the Harry Potter films as well as his career and much more, some of this was already released with other set visits, but some is new.  The full interview can be read at the previous link or in the press archive!

Q. Does Neville receive a full makeover to show that he’s been fighting?
Lewis : Yes. This is only half of what we’ve got to come. A lot of stuff we’ve been doing has involved about another pint of blood more than this. The first week, it was really enjoyable. The novelty has definitely worn off. [To get the] the full thing on – a headpiece as well – it took two hours for the first few weeks. We’ve knocked it down to about an hour and a quarter now.

Q. When did you find out Neville was going bigger places?
Lewis : I found out when I finished [Order of the Phoenix]. I went to the bus stop in the morning and talked to my best mate. He said, “It’s good, isn’t it? You’re gonna have some wicked stuff to do!” I said, “Yeah, I can’t wait!”

Q. What would you be doing if not acting?
Lewis : Sitting on the sofa, watching TV. I’ve honestly no idea. From the age of 5, I’ve not wanted to be anything else. I’d probably be in the Army or something.

We now have a full list of dates for Agatha Christie’s Verdict, which can be seen below thanks to Bill Kenwright Ltd.

Matthew Lewis to Appear in Agatha Christie’s Verdict

As reported yesterday, Matthew Lewis will be participating in an Agatha Christie play next year.  After some digging I found out that the play is entitled Verdict and will start its run in January.  The play stars Dawn Steele, Robert Duncan, Ali Bastian, Peter Byrne, Matthew Lewis, Elizabeth Power and Mark Wynter.

Following the success of And Then There Were None and Spider’s Web, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company returns to Bath with a brand new production by the undisputed ‘Queen of Crime’. The stage play of Verdict promises a riveting evening packed full of suspense and intrigue.

Having been forced to flee persecution in his home country, the brilliant and idealistic Professor Karl Hendryk leads a content and morally upstanding life, caring for his invalid wife Anya and hiding his romantic feelings towards her sister Lisa. His life is turned upside-down however when the prospect of life-saving treatment for Anya persuades him to take on a new pupil against his better judgement; the spoilt, conniving minx Helen who will stop at nothing to get her way. With murderous intentions in the air, it only remains to be seen what verdict will be delivered, and if justice will prevail…

Where to see it:

The play will run from January 11th – 22nd at Theatre Royal Windsor. It will also run from January 24th – 29th at Theatre Royal Bath, starting December 13th you can order tickets at this website (for Theatre Royal Bath).  Then it will be at Theatre Royal at Plymouth from Februrary 7th – 12th.
