Matthew Lewis was a guest on ITV’s Lorraine this morning to promote Me Before You which hits theaters this Friday, June 3rd. You can watch the full episode in the ITV player. A clip from the interview can be viewed below:
On the subject matter for Me Before You he says:
‘There’s a lot in there that’s being talked about in parliament and there are a lot of issues that are discussed and a lot of it, when I read the book and the script, it felt like the elephant in the room for a lot of people.’
‘It’s very easy to make decisions on behalf of other people and I thought the script, when I first read it, was a great way of opening a discussion.’
He also discusses working with Emilia Clarke:
‘I was quite nervous about meeting and working with her. She’s so talented but so disarming and wonderful to work with… She does the most beautiful job in this film.’
