It has been confirmed that the third season of Bluestone 42 will be premiering on March 9th at 10pm to 10.30pm on BBC 3. There are 6 episodes in this season. To celebrate we have a few brand new photos of Matthew as Towerblock in the show! Please credit us if you share the photos! A synopsis of the first episode may be read below:

In the opening episode, we rejoin Bluestone 42 after an IED explosion has hit their mastiff, and they find themselves trapped in hostile territory. Not all of them come out of the vehicle unscathed and the team faces a dilemma: do they wait it out, or risk an ambush to get back to safety?

Bird has to step up to lead the unit, while trying to deal with her unresolved feelings for Nick – which lead to a barrage of mockery from everyone else. Mac and Rocket don’t let the Taliban get in the way of their games as they play ‘punching people in the face’.

P.S. We also have a new photo from Death in Paradise in the gallery.

Matt Lewis Appearing on ‘Cinemaniacs’ This Weekend

It has been announced today that Matt Lewis will be a guest on this week’s episode of Cinemaniacs on CBBC. The show is airing on Saturday, February 28th at 9am.

According to an article on Variety, the series, which is aimed at 6 to 12-year-old film fans, looks at all aspects of moviemaking.

Lucinda Whiteley, Novel co-founder and exec producer of “Cinemaniacs,” said: “We want to convey the excitement of the movies whilst also encouraging and helping our young audience to experiment with making their own films, something they are increasingly confident about doing.”

The child-led show aims to be “fast moving, funny and inspiring.” Among the strands will be “Michael Sheen: Super Actor,” where each week the actor is challenged by a young audience, and “DIY Blockbuster,” featuring, among others, Howard and McKellen.

Sheen added: “We know that children start their love affair with films at an increasingly young age, and we wanted to capture that in a TV series that not only inspires them, but gets kids actively involved in the art of moviemaking.”

Among the other strands are “Secrets of Movie Making,” which reveals how to achieve home-made Hollywood-style special effects, “Rock Hard Quiz,” which sees young contestants put to the test on their favorite films, and “Top Tips,” which offers practical advice and encouragement for viewers to share their own short films.

Cheryl Taylor, controller and portfolio head at the BBC’s children’s channel CBBC, said: “ ‘Cinemaniacs’ promises to enthrall all the young film fans in the U.K. and will hopefully inspire them to start expressing their own ideas in epic movie form.”

Hugh Lawton, executive producer, independents, CBBC, said: “Made by, with and for kids, ‘Cinemaniacs’ is stuffed like a popcorn carton with every fascinating facet of films to entertain the next generation of movie makers.”

Matt Lewis Talks Reprising Role of Neville, Fantastic Beasts & More

In another interview posted by Radio Times, Matthew talks about the Harry Potter films and whether or not he would reprise his role as Neville if the opportunity came. He also reveals he was discussing the Fantastic Beasts films with J.K. Rowling and David Yates (he is NOT going to be in the film, they were just chatting.)

On playing Neville again: “If it came to it that I was offered that sort of deal – I want to say I’d consider it – but I’d probably jump at the chance, absolutely! I’m not itching, just yet, but I’d absolutely, definitely consider it, and love to be considered for it.”

He also talks about filming Harry Potter and Bluestone 42: “I saw Emma Watson the other day and we were chatting about Potter,” Lewis said, “and I realised as much as I miss certain aspects of it, since I finished it I’ve just had such an amazing time. Potter was an amazing and a unique experience that I was privileged to have been a part of, but I’ve never been as involved with or as proud of a project as I have with Bluestone 42 – I’ve had so much fun being a part of it, so much more than I’ve ever had before as an actor, definitely.”

Finally, he briefly discusses the Fantastic Beasts films and how he will actually be able to enjoy watching them since he won’t be in them:

“One of the things that ruined all the [Harry Potter] films for me was that I had to watch myself in them – it was a nightmare,” Lewis said. “But I can go to watch the new films without any kind of fear of my own performance.”

“I was up in Edinburgh chatting about it with [Harry Potter creator] Jo Rowling, and [director] David Yates was there too. Just knowing that those two are back together again, Jo and David Yates, with [producer] David Heyman – that magical team are together, making these films – it cannot fail to be a success. I can’t wait to see it – and not be a part of it!”
