Matt Attending Wizard World Comic Con

Matt Lewis is one of the guests at this month’s Wizard World Comic Con in Portland, Oregon. The con takes place at the Oregon Convention Center from February 17th – 19th. He will be taking part in Photo Ops ($65) and Autograph Sessions ($50).

Celebration of Harry Potter Schedule Released

Celebration of Harry Potter

Universal Orlando Resort has released the schedule for the upcoming Celebration of Harry Potter. The 4th annual Celebration begins next Friday, January 27th and some packages are still available. Get your tickets now and join us at the fourth annual A Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort! If you can’t make it we’ll be reporting from the event all weekend!

Jason Isaacs and Warwick Davis will be joining Matthew at the event. Alan Gilmore, MinaLima, Mary GrandPre, Nick Dudman and Paul Harris will also be in attendance to talk about their experiences with Potter.

Video: Matt Lewis Takes Part in BBC Radio 2’s 500 Words Live Lesson

Earlier this week Matthew Lewis took part in a live event for BBC Radio 2’s 500 Words Competition. The Live Lesson may be viewed on BBC’s website. This chat was the launch of the seventh 500 Words competition for children aged 5-13. If you know someone who would like to enter the contest learn more here.

Now in its 7th year, 500 Words is open to every 5-13 year old in the UK and has become one of the most popular story-writing competitions for kids in the world.

Nearly half a million children have been inspired to write stories so far – that’s over 277 MILLION words. Why not get your class involved this year if you’ve not taken part previously, or reignite imaginations if your school is a regular to the competition?

Hosted by Blue Peter’s Barney Harwood and BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty, the lesson features acclaimed authors Malorie Blackman and Frank Cottrell Boyce. We’ll also be joined by some very special guests including Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Revolting Rhymes) and Arthur Parsons, Head of Design at TT Games, who make games such as LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

This literacy Live Lesson explores setting, character and plot. Resources are tailored to different levels, but some of the higher-level content would be more appropriate for ages 7 and up.
