Matt Lewis Narrates Documentary on Leeds Rhinos

Matthew narrated a documentary on the Leeds Rhinos that will be premiering this evening. As Good As It Gets is a story “of sacrifice, glory and the agonising pursuit of a legacy.” The director, Lee Hicken, told The City Talking:

“This is not just a film about Rugby League for Rugby League fans. It is a story about a group of individuals who were confronted with incredible challenges and achieved incredible things. We can’t wait to share this film, and the untold stories of these brilliant individuals, with new audiences from around the world.”

The screening for this evening is sold out, but there are two more in May that still have tickets available on the film’s website. The documentary will also be available on Amazon Prime Video in early May for subscribers in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand..

Matt Lewis Attending Atlanta Comic Con

Matthew Lewis will be attending Atlanta Comic Con this coming July! The convention is taking place July 13-15 but Matt will only be appearing Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th. Tickets are $60 for the full three days and $40 for Saturday and $30 for Sunday.

Fans of the Potter series are accustomed to seeing Matthew Lewis at Universal Studios Orlando in Florida for various events such as the Harry Potter Celebration or the Grand Opening of the parks. However, yesterday Matt paid a visit to “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal Studios Hollywood to enjoy a frothy cold butterbeer! Universal have sent over a photo of Matt Lewis enjoying his drink in the warm weather.

Girlfriends with Matt Lewis to Premiere on Acorn TV in the US

Matthew’s newest television series, Girlfriends, will be premiering in the US on Acorn.tv on Monday, January 29th 2018.  The first two episodes of the six-part drama will be available on the 29th and Acorn will release one episode per week after that. Girlfriends stars Zoë Wanamaker, Miranda Richardson and Phyllis Logan with Matthew playing the son of Wanamaker’s character Gail Stanley. Girlfriends is currently airing in the UK at 9pm, Wednesdays on ITV.

After Tom split from his drug addict girlfriend he moved back into his mum Gail’s (Zoë
Wanamaker) house with his young son Ben in tow. However, Tom’s frequent clashes with stepfather Dave (Adrian Rawlins) was a contributing factor in Gail and Dave’s divorce, particularly when Tom’s wide boy ways, penchant for petty crime and subsequent imprisonment led him to leave mum Gail holding the baby.

Zoë Wanamaker on Working with Matthew Lewis Again; Promotional Photos from Girlfriends

ITV’s new series Girlfriends, starring Zoë Wanamaker, Miranda Richardson and Phyllis Logan, premiered last night. Matthew plays the son of Wanamaker’s character Gail Stanley. Fans will recall that Zoë and Matt worked together on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with Zoë playing Madame Hooch. Of seeing Matthew again, she said:

“I haven’t seen Matthew since he was in Harry Potter, so it was a shock when I saw him. This gorgeous hunk.”

She added, referring to how he looked as a youngster: “And this little round face, with ears like that. It was hysterical.”
