Lewis Lovers Exclusive Interview Part I

Welcome to the first installment of the Matt and Megan show! Anyways here is the first part of my interview with Matt.  I’ll post the next part next week, and the third the next week.  We didn’t have enough time to fit in a lot of questions so Matt says we can do an Interview Part II!  So hopefully that will be soon as well!  This post will be about Potter and the next post will be more random/fun stuff and then back to Potter again to mix it up a bit! 

Megan: So can you say anything about this job you have? Everyone is wondering if its another movie, or if you are helping out on the DH set with something.
Matt: Hehe
Matt: I’m working on DH
Megan: What sort of work are you doing?
Matt: I’m back playing Neville, filming away.
Matt: Only done two days so far though.
Megan: I see. well thats good. I’m so excited for his scenes.

Photos/Report Calgary Expo

{nl}Thanks to blueberrypaste and a member on fanforum we have a bunch of photos of Matt at the expo that you can see HERE!  The member on fanforum also posted a little information about Matt there.

A couple of tidbits I just remembered from the panel. During the scene when he talks to harry about his parents, he didnt each lunch that day because he wanted to get the lines down. Scince the two were whispering and stuff, the mics were turned WAY up. So, when his stomach started rumbling, they picked it up. They had to keep doing it over and over and over again, and in the end they just dubbed over it.

My friend asked him what he thought Nevilles patronus would be. We never found out, but he said a sloth, becuase he thought the sloth in ice age was cool and he likes sloths. He also threw in Nevilles Gran XD.

Calgary Expo Report

Thanks to TLC we have a little report about Matt’s visit to the Calgary Expo!  I’ll just post the whole thing below:

Matt spoke about his role as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter{nl}films, noting that he will be enjoying the summer off, but will be back{nl}to film scenes again in October for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 

Matt also said he cant speak to where the films split, but has read the script for Deathly Hallows{nl}Part One and loved it and said something along the lines of “if there{nl}even is a part for Neville’s Gran in the movies he would want Dame Judi{nl}Dench to play her – although his first choice, if she wasn’t already in{nl}the movies, would be Maggie Smith.”  He also spoke briefly about{nl}Neville’s look in Deathly Hallows as being a “a leaner, meaner, rock{nl}and roll Neville,” and is very much looking forward to shooting the{nl}dramatic Nagini and the sword scene. Finally Matt Lewis enjoyed the{nl}fact that Neville ended up as a Herbology Professor as he thiks Neville{nl}belongs in a school, and reflected that his “biggest wish about the{nl}last book was that Neville had killed Bellatrix but also admits that{nl}that’s not really Neville’s style.”

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was{nl}also a topic, as Matt Lewis said the fans will love the movie. He also{nl}pointed out that “although Half Blood Prince has a horrible ending it{nl}is quite a funny movie, thanks mostly to Rupert Grint’s Qudditch and{nl}love-struck scenes.”

One fun note: Matt Lewis treated a lucky fan to a Waltz lesson aka just like he danced so nicely in Order of the Phoenix.

HBP Set Report Teaser

DR.com has posted a teaser set report for Half-Blood Prince and they mention Matt/Neville in it:

Neville Longbottom is one character that kind of takes a back seat in{nl}this release, but he is still here and there throughout theproduction.{nl}”Neville is not officially in this story because obviously the book was{nl}just so big and there’s a lot of story to fit into the script, which is{nl}just a two-hour film. So, a lot has to be taken out unfortunately, but{nl}Neville is still there and is still doing his best with the Dumbledore{nl}Army and trying to fight the good fight. He sort of becomes involved{nl}with the whole Slughorn group and Slughorn’s party. There’s a really{nl}nice thing where he’s going to be a waiter. I tried on the outfit{nl}recently and he looks like he’s working on the Titanic with the color{nl}and the lapels and things. He looks really funny, and so that’s going{nl}to be quite nice. He’s just still being Neville and helping out as best{nl}as is possible, which is quite fun,” says Matt Lewis.
