Matthew Lewis has been nominated for a British Independant Film Festival Award. He is up for Best Supporting Actor category in recognition of his work in Juliet Remembered, a short film by Tamzin Merchant that we first reported last year. He plays the part of Toby, a nurse working where “Juliet” resides. Juliet Remembered will be screened on Saturday 13th May with tickets available for purchase here.
A former actress who has moved into a care home after the death of her husband. She struggles to remember day-to-day things and can’t even recognize her son, but can remember every word of her most famous role: Shakespeare’s Juliet.
Along with Matt’s Best Supporting Actor nomination, the film has been noninated for Best Short Film and Rakhee Thakrar is up for Best Supporting Actress. Tickets to BIFF 2017 Award Ceremony may be purchased here.
