In the opening episode, we rejoin Bluestone 42 after an IED explosion has hit their mastiff, and they find themselves trapped in hostile territory. Not all of them come out of the vehicle unscathed and the team faces a dilemma: do they wait it out, or risk an ambush to get back to safety?
Bird has to step up to lead the unit, while trying to deal with her unresolved feelings for Nick – which lead to a barrage of mockery from everyone else. Mac and Rocket don’t let the Taliban get in the way of their games as they play ‘punching people in the face’.
P.S. We also have a new photo from Death in Paradise in the gallery.

The Bluestone 42 social media accounts have been sharing loads of festive content over the past few days. With it being Christmas Eve today let’s take a look at the two Matt participated in. First up is a photo of the cast all dressed up for the holiday which Matthew tweeted.
Instead of switching to Babestation at midnight try @bbcthree for repeat of last year’s Xmas Special of Bluestone 42. pic.twitter.com/Osc38WSdfx

Next an instagram video of them singing All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey. We should also take the time to note, once again, that Matt does not have an Instagram (or Facebook) account. So any you see are fake.
For everyone who is celebrating, Happy Holidays!

We’ve just added a bunch of new photos of Matthew at the Grand Opening for Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Cologne, Germany. Some photos are from press events on Wednesday, and others are from today’s opening to the public.
How do you like Cologne?
It’s great. Although I am only here a day, but I ate pizza last night, had too much “Kölsch” (Cologne beer) , which is really great, but not this morning, but last night it was really tasty. The city is very beautiful and I hope I can further explore the city. Today I am still very busy, but tomorrow and the rest of the week I will try to see the City.
How do you like the exhibition? Is it like coming home or back to the set?
Yes, the last film ended four years ago. The things after Harry Potter was something completely different.
In the exhibition, which I have already seen years ago, you feel transported back directly. You go through the wall to the Hogwards Express, come into the common room, you see the clothes you were wearing and the props that you used, and you’re back in this world.

Thanks to our lovely friends at FeltBeats, who were able to attend the press event in Germany yesterday, we got a few questions to Matt who answered them for us. So thank you to Sandra for sending over the videos you see below [they are both the same, just different angles] and for asking our questions. She asked Matt the following (my questions are bolded)
- What do you think keeps bringing fans back to Potter and these experiences after all this time? What is your favorite part about attending events?
- Do you have plans to crack the US market like some of your Potter costars? Or are there upcoming projects you can tell us about?
- You’ve been traveling a lot for work lately, where is one place you really want to visit on your time off?
- Who would you have wanted to play Neville’s Grandmother in the series?
- Having been in a band, would you ever like to play a guitarist in a film? Perhaps a biopic? Or maybe record a song with the other Potter actors who are musically inclined?
- What one current actor would you love to work with?
- Have you heard of the verb “longbottomed” which refers to kids who start out awkward-looking and then get hot when they are older?
He mentions he might try staying with Tom Felton and find some jobs in LA. And teases what he was just filming for BBC in Guadalupe and will be returning to South Africa for Bluestone 42. When asked about his travel destination of choice he says New York and New England because of all the seasons. As for playing a guitarist in a film, he says he would love to play John Lennon since he is a huge fan of the Beatles.
We have also added over 100 pictures of Matthew from Sandra to the gallery! If you have any you wish to share please send them to webmiss[at]magical-menagerie.com and we will post them with a credit to you in the gallery!
(The second video is slightly louder)

Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 9:30 am | Comments Off on Photos: Matthew Plays in David Holmes Cricket Cup |
Photos from the 2014 David Holmes Cricket Cup have appeared online. Matthew Lewis played on Team Gryffindor with team captain Bradley James (best known to many as Arthur in the BBC series Merlin.) The David Holmes Cricket Cup began in the summer of 2009 to raise money for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) after David, a stuntman for the Potter films, was critically injured and left paralyzed. Since then, each summer, the event has been hosted for David’s family and friends, where the two teams, Gryffindor and Slytherin, have battled it out for the trophy and continued to raise money for the RNOH.
This year the final score was Gryffindor 97/10 and Slytherin 104/4. £7,780 was raised and split between the RNOH and Spinal Research.
