The photographer of Matthew Lewis’ publicity photoshoot back in October has released another new photo from the shoot! You may see it in the gallery!
Of the shoot photographer Idil Sukan said:
The lovely Matt Lewis (who plays Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter) came over to Richmond a few months ago & we packed all manner of camera equipment and provisions and set off to go exploring in Richmond Park for his photoshoot. Styled by Liam Gallagher’s label Pretty Green, make-up by Kristina Gasperas & styling + lighting by my sister & co-conspirator Julia Sukan.
Thanks to the lovely Will, of Multitude Media, for letting me know!

TrésSugar has released their 11 Budding Heartthrobs We Crushed on in 2011. They’re also asking fans to vote for their favorite of the Top 11, so get voting and let’s get Matt to number 1!!! He is currently in 1st place with 21% of the votes, but we need to keep him there. They have this to say about Matthew:
In the final Harry Potter film that was released this year, underdog Neville Longbottom really came into his own. But we were more surprised to see the actor who plays the character, Matthew Lewis, break out as the sexiest star of the franchise. Go Neville!

The two ladies of Go Fug Yourself have compiled a list of the Eleven Most Surprisingly Stylish Celebrities of 2011 for NYMag. Matthew is among a group of mostly girls including Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, Hailee Steinfeld, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton, Lady Gaga and Kristen Stewart. The only other guy on the list is Ryan Gosling. So this is quite an honor for the famed Potter star, and a well deserved one at that, he was very stylish (in my totally unbiased opinion 😉 , I am a fashion blogger after all so I know fashion)! The girls had this to say about Matthew’s style this year:
Most avid Harry Potter readers leave the series with an abiding affection for Neville Longbottom, but few of them would have added, “Also, I’d totally tap that.” That is, until Matthew Lewis — the cinematic Neville — showed up at the Deathly Hallows Part 2 events looking like … how to put this delicately … a smokingly tasty slice of man-meat. “Hot Neville” may never have been in J.K. Rowling’s lexicon, but we’re thrilled to have it as part of ours.

This past weekend SnitchSeeker had the chance to interview director David Yates, and in that interview he briefly talked about Neville Longbottom, who, as we all know, is played by the wonderful Matthew Lewis.
SnitchSeeker: Neville’s speech – was that in the original script? Because it’s not in the books, so how did it add to that scene against Voldemort in the courtyard?
Yates: It’s Neville’s Henry V moment. Neville’s opportunity to talk about the fact that they had something that they were fighting for other than just … you know, Voldemort is a character who just inspires terror in people. That’s why everyone likes it when they don’t think he can beat Harry. They don’t stay out of loyalty, they stay out of fear. And Neville expresses the fact that they’re all there because they care for each other and they support each other out of love. That’s what his speech is about, basically. And, again, we developed that to express that point. And I like a good speech (laughs).
