Matt to Attend 2010 Magic Christmas Convention in France

Matthew will be attending the Magic Christmas Harry Potter convention in Paris, France. The convention takes place on the 18th and 19th of December this year at La Maison Internationale.

Guests will have the chance to attend talk sessions with speakers who worked on the Harry Potter films as well as a number of the actors. Attendees will also be able to meet the special guests during photoshoot and autograph sessions. Games, contests, magic shows, an orchestra playing music from the films and a Christmas Ball will also feature over the weekend.

Tickets are now on sale here at SpotLight Events; there are different packages with prices starting at €55 for the Squib Pass, €140 for the Wizard Pass and €200 for the Order of Merlin Pass.

National Railway Museum’s Wizard Weekend

As I posted last week, Matthew Lewis attended the National Railway Museum’s Wizard Weekend this past weekend in York, UK. SnitchSeeker was lucky enough to attend the event and they have some photos from the event with an interview coming soon. See the photos here in the gallery!

Matt Talks Neville at Harry Potter Exhibition

Blast Magazine has posted an article from when Matthew Lewis was in Seattle this past week. The post comes complete with a high resolution photo of Matt that you may see in the gallery.

As an example of what would be on display in this exhibit, they brought out two of Lewis’s costumes, his Hogwarts uniform from the first movie (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) and the outfit he wears in the upcoming movie (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1) during the ride to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express.

“It’s hard to believe I was that small,” Lewis said. Lewis also remarked that he’s spent nearly half his life in these types of costumes. When Lewis was asked about his favorite parts of the exhibit he said that the exhibit was “mad.” He couldn’t believe how many props and costumes they could take around with this exhibit.

As an aside he also told reporters about how the kids in the film were not allowed to play contact sports during filming, and how even though he wasn’t playing a contact sport he managed to still sprain his ankle playing badminton as a result he couldn’t shoot for a week.

Lewis went on to say those traits of Neville were more in the earlier films and that Neville has grown to be more courageous and “has got this amazing loyalty and big heart” which are traits he likes to believe he possesses, but he said “when push comes to shove I would probably run away.”

Finally he said if there was one prop that he could keep from the exhibit he said he would want his uniform robe from the very first film.

Matthew Throws Opening Pitch at Seattle Mariners Game

Matt let us know last night via Twitter that he threw the opening pitch at the Seattle Mariners Baseball game and now there are a few photos online. You can see some high resolution photos in the gallery!
