The Wasteland Official Facebook has released a new behind the scenes photo of Matthew Lewis in the film. You can view the new photo, in high resolution, in the gallery!

They have also teased another photo by saying: “Ok Wasteland friends if you can all ‘share’ the last pic I will put a picture up of all the boys on set.” So head over to their Facebook and share the photo!

The Syndicate DVD Trailer

As I posted last week, The Syndicate, is slated for release on DVD on May 7th and can be pre-ordered on Amazon.co.uk for 12 pounds. ITV has released a trailer for the set which you can watch below:

This is a Region 2 DVD which means that it will not play on most DVD players outside of Europe. Please check your DVD player before buying if you are out Europe. (Here is some information on Regions for DVD’s if you are curious)

Throwback: Matthew Lewis Visits Football Museum of San Paulo in 2010

As many fans will remember, Matthew Lewis visited Brazil during his promotional tour for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I. Today I have uncovered new photos and an interview from when Matthew visited the Football Museum of San Paulo. You can read a rough translation in the press archive! The two brand new photos may be seen in the gallery!

How was the work routine and day to day when you worked in the studios Leavensdale in London. The atmosphere was boarding even as his colleagues described the site?
In a way. We ate, studied and did everything together. In ten years, we became a family like any other, with our inside jokes, our possible discussions. Despite all harassment and safety, I was very happy there. I do not feel I lost my childhood, only that it had a different kind.

The cast, you’re one of those who are considered true fans of JK Rowling’s books, including being an ambassador of the series in various events around the world. Do you consider yourself a member of the Harry Potter generation?
I tried to be an actor just because the series is already a fan of hers. I read the books when he was 8, 9 years old and for me it was very special to be part of something I have always admired the history and values that are in the book.

‘The Sweet Shop’ Update

The Sweet Shop‘s Official Twitter has let fans know that the movie is getting closer to having a distributor, which means it’s closer to being released to the public! Matthew filmed The Sweet Shop back in 2010 and the film was supposed to be released that year, but the release was pushed back when they tragically lost a member of the cast (after filming had completed). Since then MWS Media have been trying to find a distributor for the film and they tweeted today:

After a very long journey and some late editorial changes we’re now one step closer to #distribution of #theSweetShopMovie

The film is the story of a rock star that returns to the village where he grew up when his estranged Mother dies. He finds many of his childhood friends – including local Sweet Shop owner Katie Powell – have never left. Matthew plays the role of “The Reporter” trying to get the dirt on rock star Jarvis.

Back in December the studio released a trailer for the film which can be viewed here if you missed it the first time around:

Normally this wouldn’t deserve a post but a lot of fans have been asking about the film recently. More news will be posted as it develops.
