The Sweet Shop Movie Trailer
MWS media have finally released a trailer for The Sweet Shop a movie that Matthew Lewis was filming back in 2010. Matt plays an unnamed reporter in the film trying to get the dirt on rock star Jarvis, played by the late actor Seb Hurtado, when he returns to his home town. If you want to catch up you can read all the past news on The Sweet Shop here.
The film follows the story of a rock star (Seb Hurtado) that returns to the village where he grew up when his estranged Mother dies. He finds many of his childhood friends – including local Sweet Shop owner Katie Powell (Gemma Atkinson) – have never left.
With beautiful songs and touching characters, The Sweet Shop is a Romantic Drama with a twist.
It is still unknown if and when the film will be released, but I think the trailer is a good sign. The film was put on hold indefinitely when the star of the film tragically committed suicide.
Matthew Lewis Named one of the 11 Most Surprisingly Stylish Celebrities of 2011
The two ladies of Go Fug Yourself have compiled a list of the Eleven Most Surprisingly Stylish Celebrities of 2011 for NYMag. Matthew is among a group of mostly girls including Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, Hailee Steinfeld, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton, Lady Gaga and Kristen Stewart. The only other guy on the list is Ryan Gosling. So this is quite an honor for the famed Potter star, and a well deserved one at that, he was very stylish (in my totally unbiased opinion 😉 , I am a fashion blogger after all so I know fashion)! The girls had this to say about Matthew’s style this year:
Most avid Harry Potter readers leave the series with an abiding affection for Neville Longbottom, but few of them would have added, “Also, I’d totally tap that.” That is, until Matthew Lewis — the cinematic Neville — showed up at the Deathly Hallows Part 2 events looking like … how to put this delicately … a smokingly tasty slice of man-meat. “Hot Neville” may never have been in J.K. Rowling’s lexicon, but we’re thrilled to have it as part of ours.
